Apple Messages sticker guide

How to use stickers in Apple Messages on iPhone.

You can send a sticker as its own message or place one directly on a message bubble. Here is the quickest path from opening a conversation to sending the reaction you meant.

Sunny the duck holding an empty plate, feeling hangry
Dinner is delayed. There is a Sunny for that.

The short version

  1. Open a chat in Messages.

  2. Tap +, then Bobbet. Don't see it? Scroll the list or tap More, or look under Stickers.

  3. Tap a Sunny sticker, then tap Send. Or touch and hold a sticker and drag it right onto a message bubble.

Send a sticker as a message

  1. Open Messages and choose a conversation.
  2. Tap +, then Bobbet. Don't see it? Scroll the list or tap More, or look under Stickers.
  3. Choose a character and the reaction that fits.
  4. Tap the sticker to place it in the message field.
  5. Tap the Send button.

A tap inserts the sticker first. The final Send tap is what sends it to the conversation.

Place a sticker on a message bubble

  1. Open Bobbet from the + menu in Messages.
  2. Touch and hold the sticker you want.
  3. Drag it onto a message in the conversation.
  4. Release it where you want it to sit.

This works well when the sticker is the reaction: Side-Eye on the questionable claim, Hangry on the delayed dinner, or Bruh on the typo that changed everything.

If Bobbet is missing from Messages

In a conversation, tap +, then scroll the list or tap More. Bobbet is listed with your other Messages apps, and on some iPhones it also appears under Stickers. Still missing? Close Messages completely, reopen it, and check the + list again.
